Brenton Kubik, Candidate for Parks Commission

Brent Kubik has been proud to call Ayer home since moving to town in 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree in Movement Science from Westfield State University and went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMass Lowell. Brent currently works as a Physical Therapist at Connections Physical Therapy in nearby Harvard, MA, where he helps people recover from injuries and regain strength after surgery. Brent has built his career focused on getting people moving again, and motivating them to stay healthy and active.

Brent is deeply committed to the Ayer community, especially when it comes to youth sports and recreation. For the past six years, he has coached a variety of youth sports in town, including soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. He also serves on the boards of Ayer Youth Soccer and Ayer-Shirley Youth Baseball/Softball, working to support these important programs that give kids the opportunity to build confidence, learn teamwork and have fun.

Outside of work and volunteering, Brent enjoys running, breadmaking and local travel. Most of all, he values spending time with his wife and their two children, who are growing up enjoying Ayer’s parks, fields and outdoor spaces.

Brent is passionate about supporting and improving the town’s current park’s programs. His goal is to help families feel more a part of the community by ensuring they feel heard, welcomed and offering programs that they want to participate in. Brent plans to encourage involvement from youth of all ages, where older kids serve as mentors for younger kids and younger kids support the successes of older kids.
